Anxiously Waiting.....

Today is my due date...well the second due date they gave me. I feel like I am strapped with a timebomb across my belly...just waiting until it goes off, ( when I go into labor). I had no changes in dilation or effacement from my last appointment. But my belly is 40 c.m. and I gained another pound. The doctor said I am definitely BIG enough to deliver...so where are you baby boy? I kind of wish I was still working to get my mind off everything but it really has been nice to rest alot, which I did not get much of my whole pregnancy. Anyhow just wanted to complain. I know alot of you have been there. I have tried some of the "tricks" to induce labor...not happening so much for me. Oh, well. Hopefully the next time I post it will be a picture of Stone.

Almost 39 weeks

This is my latest belly bump update...although I feel like it's more like a mountain now, rather than a bump. The doc thinks he will be an April baby, I still hope he is wrong. My tummy is measuring 39 c.m. and Spence found some new stretch marks to vouch for that rapid growth (Right on the underside of my belly) I have been using cocoa butter religiously. Anybody know of some good oils or creams for stretch marks post pregnancy?

We got Tess from the Humane Society about 6 weeks ago. She is a two year old blue heeler or Australian sheep dog. She is more mellow than Porter which is a good thing and she is very obedient. Spence named her and I thought it went well with Porter.

Pregnancy update: As of last Tuesday the 4th

Stomach measurement: 37 c.m.

Weight gain: 25 lbs

Baby is in correct position right now

Dilated: 1

Effacement: 40%

I will get an updated pregnancy pic up as soon as I can. Just imagine me with a way bigger stomach and chubbier cheeks than my 32 week picture.

Happy 1st Anniversary to us!

So last sunday was our first anniversary. It seemed like last year flew by, but at the same time it feels like we have been married forever. So much has happened to us in the last year from job changes, to getting pregnant, moving to Utah, etc. Changes, changes, changes...all definitely an adjustment but I would not have picked anyone better to go through this crazy life with. So Spence surprised me with a night at the anniversary inn, and we took no pictures at dinner because well it had been raining that day and he would not let me get ready, even though I wanted to look cute. So I only took pictures of Spence and of our cool country garden room. I will have to post those soon, but our other computer is on the fritz, so I just put up some old engagement photos that were on my laptop. My belly is a bit bigger than this time last year. I still feel great, so I think I will be jinxed with a horrible labor way past my due date. Hopefully not, but we shall see. Spence can't wait to be a daddy, he would have me induced today if he could. I am in that mixed feelings stage where I want the baby out but I am freaked out to have him and be responsible for another life, for the rest of my life. I feel like I am still so selfish to have a kid of my own, and wonder how my mother ever had six kids and did such an amazing job. Thanks for all your examples of being great mommies and letting me know that it is doable and that it is ultimately the best role in life you could ever have.
