Sleepy nights

This is pretty much a nightly occurence for Porter and I. Spence caught us out cold while we were watching Pretty in Pink last night. I have never been a real night owl, but being pregnant I can dose off as early as 8 p.m. I let Spence pick out all the movies now because I never make it after 20 minutes or so anyways. I'm hopeless, sorry Spence. Will I ever get any energy back? Maybe this is just a preview of a mom's life except they are tired all the time and don't get the sleep they need and deserve. Fun times ahead.

The inside of our Casa

Per request of Amber I have some photos of the inside of our house in all it's glory. I thought maybe I should tidy up before I take pics, but this is the "real thompsons". Anyways we have three other bedrooms one empty, one full of boxes/storage, and one really messy one which is near our bedroom. That room has all my old wicker furniture and we will transform to the baby room in the next few months. The house could almost be a duplex with two bedrooms and a full bath and functioning kitchen on each side. It is a one story house and kind of narrow...and the backyard is kickin. A good party hosting backyard. By next summer I hope to take down some of the wallpaper and paint to give a more modern look for cheap. My parents were great and tore off the extremely old carpet in our bedroom to reveal a beautiful wood floor. And no more pink drapes in the bedroom. It did not bother my color blind husband, but I am happy to have a matching bedroom now. One room down....a few more to go.

My parents came to check out our new place the beginning of October. We had such a fun time. My dad enjoyed gettin his hands dirty helping with our irrigation canal. (I can't lift the heavy, awkward sized boards). We picked two bucketfuls of plums and I tried my hand at making plum freezer jam. (Yummy) My mom is very proud at how domesticated I have become. They loved getting fresh eggs and bacon across the street at the Fassio Egg Farm. Anyways my mom had fun giving me a few ideas on how to personalize/decorate our 1950's farm home. It looks like my mom has rubbed off on my dad in the interior decorating department. Nice job on the swagging Dad! Come visit soon Mom and Dad!!

I was so excited when Momma T. wanted to get rid of her old oak table and china hutch. I always wanted a place to put my china, table settings and other hostessing items I rarely use. I love it. Thanks Mom!!!

Mission Reunion Pics

These are some pictures from my mission reunion the first weekend in October. One of the luxuries living in Utah is being able to finally get to a mission reunion after four years. I actually saw more people I recognized than I thought I would. If any of you have seen my mission pics I was a bit rounder than usual...the funny thing was I weigh less 4 months pregnant than the entire time on my mission. (That's a good thing, although you would think it would be opposite) At any rate it was a fun time. Wish I could see my mission friends more often. Such great memories.

Life in West Valley

We just moved to West Valley from California. We are adjusting to the lifestyle change. We do love the spacious yard, and our new pup Porter.

We are expecting in April. April fourth is our due....date. We are very excited about becoming parents....so weird to think of us two kids being a momma and dad.
