A few pictures at home of Stone

Stone sleeps so much during the day, it is tough to get a picture with his eyes open. He is a tough little guy. He slept through his circumcision and when they pricked his foot and squeezed out all this blood to test for jaundice. He has huge hands and feet, and so we think the name Stone definitely fits him. The nurses kept joking with me and saying what a dark baby he is and if Spence was really the dad. Spence is half yaki (sp?) indian and half irish and he picked up all the recessive jeans from his birth mom. So we definitely got a olive skinned baby for now...they change so much. I know for sure he has my ears and nose, and Spence's lips and dimple in his chin. We are so excited to be a family.

Stone Caleb Thompson has finally arrived

Stone Caleb Thompson was born April 8th at 5:31 p.m. He was 8 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches.

He was a big boy, especially for my first baby.

I went to a doc appointment Monday and he said he could induce me the next day, since this baby was not wanting to come out, and that he was definitely big enough to deliver. My due dates were so messed up so we just went by the March 28th due date.

They broke my water at 7:30 a.m. gave me some pitocin and those contractions came fast and hard. I thought I could manage the contractions to a six or seven but I had contraction coming every minute and a half at a 3 and I could not get in a comfortable position hooked up to all those machines...so I requested an epidural shortly there after. I am pretty sensitive to most medications and the epidural numbed practically my whole body and my blood pressure dropped at one point to 60/45. They had to put me on oxygen and I felt so weird. I hated not feeling anything so they turned off the epidural and by the time I was ready to deliver I could feel the pressure of the contractions and our baby boy wanting to come out. At about 5:10 I was ready to push and 20 minutes later he was finally here. He did a number on me coming out, but he is way worth it. I just had Spence there and it was such an amazing spiritual experience. So far he has such a sweet temperment and he is so cuddly. We are so in love with our little guy. More pics to come.
