Happy 1st Anniversary to us!

So last sunday was our first anniversary. It seemed like last year flew by, but at the same time it feels like we have been married forever. So much has happened to us in the last year from job changes, to getting pregnant, moving to Utah, etc. Changes, changes, changes...all definitely an adjustment but I would not have picked anyone better to go through this crazy life with. So Spence surprised me with a night at the anniversary inn, and we took no pictures at dinner because well it had been raining that day and he would not let me get ready, even though I wanted to look cute. So I only took pictures of Spence and of our cool country garden room. I will have to post those soon, but our other computer is on the fritz, so I just put up some old engagement photos that were on my laptop. My belly is a bit bigger than this time last year. I still feel great, so I think I will be jinxed with a horrible labor way past my due date. Hopefully not, but we shall see. Spence can't wait to be a daddy, he would have me induced today if he could. I am in that mixed feelings stage where I want the baby out but I am freaked out to have him and be responsible for another life, for the rest of my life. I feel like I am still so selfish to have a kid of my own, and wonder how my mother ever had six kids and did such an amazing job. Thanks for all your examples of being great mommies and letting me know that it is doable and that it is ultimately the best role in life you could ever have.

I have been tagged

10 Years Ago: I was a junior/senior at Leland High School. I was taking night classes at West Valley College to get enough credits to graduate high school a year early and go to Ricks College with Amber. I was mainly busy with school, seminary homeschool, getting my medallion, a year early. In my free time I was just go surfing with Amber, and hang out with my girlfriends and guy friends from S.T., and hanging with the fam.

On my to do list: Find a peditrician, new medical insurance, register at the hospital, set up my little changing table on my old desk, address thank you notes, get chinese new year supplies for pack meeting, finish my anniversary gift for Spence, return phone calls, fix the i-tunes on my comp so I can use the ipod Spence got me, try to keep workin my two jobs for 3-4 more weeks, do my pregnancy yoga (feels great when I do, always too exhausted after work), get shots for our dogs Tess and Porter, and have this baby boy.

Places I've lived: San Jose, CA, Rexburg, Id., Provo, Ut, Laie, HI, York, PA, Huntington Beach, CA, Aliso Viejo, CA, and West Valley City, UT.

Jobs I've had: Swim Instructor, Bakery at Albertson's, Usher for basketball games at BYU-H, Spa Attendant/Pool and Beach Hostess at Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, Facility Services Outside Sales at Cintas in L.A. County, Manager of Ski Condos, Substitute Teacher, Instructional Aide with Juevenile Justice Services

What would I do if I was a billionaire: The usual: tithing first right, get mass amounts of food storage, than pay off all debts, buy a couple houses, buy some toys: motorhome, boat, new snowboard, fix my dirtbike, bikes, build a pool/spa, make a recording studio/ music room for my husband. Buy a grand piano. Build a sweet gym with a octogan ring, bags for my husband, indoor trampoline, foam pit like at gymnastics, free weights, treadmills, etc. A sweet movie room for our family and friends. Pamper myself frequently with getting my hair done (I hate doing my hair), pedicures, massages, etc. I would invest in alot of real estate commercial and residential, buy a business if I am bored. And of course just donate a bunch of money to the church and to kiddos with terminal diseases, to schools, and take my family especially parents on a really nice trip and help everyone pay off debt. I think I would be out of money pretty soon after looking at the list...a girl can dream, right?

Bad Habits: I don't have any...j.k. biting my nails although I don't do it much anymore, definitely going to bed without taking off my eye makeup, throwing clothes on the floor for several days in a row before cleaning the bedroom, not putting c.d.'s in the case after using them, eating cereal or hot cocoa late at night, and stuffing everything in the fridge, and when the next person opens the door stuff "might fall out". My husband hates when I wake up earlier than him and thinks I am purposely being loud so he wakes up too. (I think I may do that once in while, but not everytime, like he thinks) I don't feel that bad if that is his main pet peeve about me.

Things I enjoy: Or should I say things I used to enjoy...the only thing I really enjoy while being pregnant is swimming, yoga, walking the dogs (which there is too much snow and they are too strong now), movies, movies, movies, reading, listening to music and listening to my husband play...giving and receiving massages, Comedy Clubs, and laughing and being happy and living as much as a stress free and drama free life as I can. Before being married and prego and living in S.L.C. I liked going to the beach, surfing, more like paddling, jogging, cooking, lifting weights, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and dirtbiking, dancing, going to shows, shopping and hangin with fam and friends.

Things people don't know about me: I am a recovering closet potty mouth. Well maybe not closet...a few Elder's from the mission called me the cussin sister...from only two incidences. I am much better now that I am not driving on the L.A. Highways. It's always in the car or when I fall off a bike, board, etc...You get the picture, and I am mostly by myself when I swear.
Um, I love to sing in the shower. I sometimes pee a little when I laugh really hard. (Amber, remember Northstar?) I hate when people chew on their food with their mouths open, or lick their fingers, grosses me out. I am having the 18th grandchild on the Sowards side. I can be really social but I sometimes just prefer being by myself or with one other person. I hate talking on the phone. I suck at computers, and don't care that I do. I have a very eclectic taste in music and know pointless music trivia and words to songs. I really don't like to fly by myself. I don't get mad easily. Um I am a pretty open book, so no earth shattering news flashes.

Pregnancy Poses

Well I have been a horrible blogger, needless to say. I finally broke down and busted out the self timer on our camera. I am always waiting to take a picture of my belly when I am feeling cute but that pretty much only happens on Sundays, when I give myself more time to "clean up". Anyhow, my pregnancy tracker on the blog is about a week behind. I actually have 8 weeks and 2 days left. (Hopefully not longer) So Friday I will be 32 weeks. I can't believe I have 8 weeks of growth still ahead of me...ahh. This girl at work told me, "you already look like you are going to pop." I didn't know whether to be offended or not, I chose not too. Still getting used to my stomach being bigger than my chest and feeling really good when I can bend over to shave my legs. Spence actually helps me buckle my heels for church or zip my boots, when I just feel lazy. Hope everyone is doing well. I will try to be better with the blogging thing.

I hate being sick!

I have been such a slacker adding any pictures in the last month. I brought our camera to San Jose and I did not even take any pictures the 3 days we were there during Christmas. And Spence and I have the most opposite schedules so some days I am lucky to see him an hour a day. I will post at least an updated "belly shot" very soon. I have tried taking one myself and it never comes out quite right.
Any one who knows me knows I rarely get sick especially the flu. I think I got food poisioning or something from Panda Express. I never crave chinese food, I really don't even like it that much but I was craving orange chicken. Within an hour or two I was sick. I have not thrown up for almost 7 years. (I take great pride in that). So my body was fighting the throwing up part for 24 hours and than I ruined my seven year streak. I was worried about the baby because I had lost so much fluid from my body. I have never been that sick in my life. I lost over seven pounds in less than 2 days. I started my pregnancy at 141 and was at 157 a couple days ago. This morning I was 149. The only time in my life I was not excited by a drastic weight loss. I am sure with my appetite I will be back on track very soon. Anyways I am grateful for my health and my husband staying home from work to take care of me and watch movies and go to the store about 4 times for me.
